Regularly scheduled events:
Wednesday evenings we run games of
Flames of War, a quick-play, easy-to-learn set of
rules for gaming World War Two in 15mm. Bring your own armies, or if you've
never played the game come on in and we'll show you how it goes.
Thursday evenings see regular games of
Warhammer 40k, the fast-paced and fun game of
science fiction combat. Veterans, come on in and join our group of regular
gamers. Newcomers are welcome, as with all games at the shop.
Friday evening is the night for an
eclectic mix of games, with Warmachine and Hordes
being the primary miniatures game but with regular players of Magic The
Gathering, Vs, and Ultimate Fight System as well as the occasional board game.
Each Saturday of the month has a special theme, although open gaming is always
welcomed!
--First Saturday of each month we have a
Warhammer 40k Apocalypse game; bring at least 1,000
points of army and join in this gigantic-sized 40k battle with special tactics,
strategies and special assets. Games start at 1pm.
--Second Saturday of the month is
Flames of War day. Scheduled games are held as well
as introductory games run for newcomers. This is a great opportunity to try it
out or ask questions if you're still learning the game.
--Third Saturday of the month is set aside for a
painting clinic. Seasoned miniatures gamers and
modelers are on hand to discuss basic and advanced minis painting, assembly,
basing and other topics. The idea is for people who are just getting started to
have some place and time to go so that they don't get discouraged. We'll help
you assemble and pin models, learn how to prime, get the basics of base-coating,
washing, glazing, dry-brushing, blending, etc. Most of you will be
self-sustaining before too long, assuming you practice on your own, but at a
minimum, it will be a good time to hang out and chat.
--Fourth Saturday is Warmachine/Hordes day. This is
a great opportunity to learn the game or to try your skills against new
opponents in this cool game of steam-punk futuristic combat between man,
machine, animal and undead!
